Ringlock + Aluminum Structure

Ringlock + Aluminum Structure focuses on temporary projects where Ringlock and aluminum structural systems perform different functions within one integrated configuration.

As part of our Hybrid Structure system, this approach is commonly used when a project requires both a large modular supporting structure and lightweight aluminum structural members for elevated spans, roof frameworks, equipment support or other specific functions.

From our project experience, the purpose is not simply to combine two materials. The important question is:

Which part of the project is more suitable for Ringlock, and which part is more suitable for aluminum structure?

Once those functions are separated clearly, the two systems can be configured as parts of one complete temporary structure.

How Ringlock and Aluminum Structures Divide the Work

In many hybrid projects, Ringlock and aluminum structures perform fundamentally different roles.

Ringlock Supporting Structure

Ringlock is particularly practical for creating three-dimensional supporting volumes.

Depending on the project, it can form:

  • supporting towers;

  • stage-support areas;

  • side structures;

  • elevated supporting zones;

  • large modular structural grids.

The repeated vertical and horizontal modules allow the supporting structure to develop in width, depth and height.

Aluminum Structural Modules

Aluminum structure is often used where the project requires:

  • elevated roof spans;

  • lightweight structural beams;

  • equipment-supporting members;

  • LED framing;

  • other structural zones where aluminum modules provide a practical solution.

Aluminum truss is therefore not added simply because it is another available product. It performs a specific function that differs from the surrounding Ringlock structure.

The basic relationship is often:

Ringlock Supporting Structure → Aluminum Structural Module → Roof / Equipment / Functional Area

That functional division is the core logic of this category.

Ringlock + Aluminum Roof Structures

One of the most common applications is the integration of Ringlock support structures with aluminum roof truss.

The Roof Support Structure can use Ringlock to establish the required supporting height and structural zones, while aluminum truss forms the elevated roof framework above.

In this arrangement:

Ringlock creates the support → Aluminum Truss creates the span → Roof system creates the covered area

This is particularly useful when the lower structure needs substantial three-dimensional development while the upper part requires relatively lightweight long-span members.

The roof geometry itself can also vary. Straight, pitched or curved aluminum structures may be integrated according to the project concept rather than requiring the complete structure to use one construction system.

Ringlock + Aluminum Sound Support

Sound-support structures provide another clear example.

A Sound Support Structure may use Ringlock to create the main tower or side supporting zone, while an aluminum truss beam is positioned in the upper part for line-array or other sound-equipment support.

The structural relationship becomes:

Ringlock Tower → Aluminum Support Beam → Sound Equipment

This allows the tower and the equipment-supporting member to be considered according to their different functions rather than forcing both parts into the same structural system.

Ringlock + Aluminum LED Structure

A similar principle can be applied to LED Screen Structure.

Ringlock can create the larger supporting volume behind or around the LED area, while aluminum members may be used for framing, beams or other localized structural functions.

The exact division between the two systems depends on:

  • LED dimensions;

  • installation height;

  • screen position;

  • surrounding stage configuration;

  • required supporting arrangement.

For this reason, we do not define one universal “Ringlock + Aluminum LED Structure.” Different projects can use the two systems in different proportions.

The Connection Between Systems Matters

A hybrid structure cannot be understood only by listing the Ringlock components and aluminum components separately.

The transition between the systems is also part of the configuration.

We consider where the systems meet, what function the connection performs and how the assembly sequence allows the different modules to become one practical structure.

This is especially important when an aluminum roof, beam or frame is positioned above a Ringlock supporting zone.

The Proportion of Ringlock and Aluminum Can Change

Not every project uses the same balance between the two systems.

One project may be primarily a Ringlock structure with only several aluminum beams.

Another may use Ringlock mainly as supporting towers beneath a large aluminum roof.

A third may contain several separate aluminum modules for roof, LED and sound functions within one larger Ringlock configuration.

This is why we define the category by system relationship rather than a fixed product combination.

When the project dimensions, roof geometry, equipment arrangement or functional requirements change, the role and quantity of each structural system may change as well.
